On top of all that at my store we're already short handed and will be scheduled 2 associates for the day then the store Mgr comes out and tell us the shop needs to be spotless or else then the acc Mgr takes so many cars you don't even get time for a break or you won't get home on time. And when you say something to them they say your job is what ever walmart says it is so you do what we tell you to do. You can be an auto tech who's sole job is to work on cars and get pulled to go push carts out front regardless of how busy or under staffed you are. Work is very poorly delegated and if you show your a good worker they give you the tasks of the people who aren't. If it's not for the experienced workers nothing in the store would run right mgmt just run around yelling things and half of them don't even make sense or aren't possible to get done. However, the "game" is easy if you're just friendly and reliable. It's a "don't hate the player hate the game" kind of situation. Very important thing at this company is to be a good judge of management because while most of mine have been great people, every company has its person that shouldn't have the position they do. Just be generally good at your job, friendly, and reliable and you will move up fairly fast especially if you vocalize that you're interested.

PTO works on a hours worked rewards hours off basis and there is also a Protected PTO system separate from that that works on the same merit however it's a fixed rate whereas PTO becomes faster to obtain the longer you are there.
